Mario Vargas Llosa. It deals with the eponymous Captain Pantoja's astonishingly efficient drive to bring a service of prostitutes to accommodate the desires of the men of the Peruvian armed forces who are stationed in what is portrayed as a strangely aphrodisiac Amazon jungle.
